Eligibility for Admission into MBBS course under Management quota

 

1. No candidate shall be admitted to the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course unless he/she has     completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the academic year in which the candidate is seeking admission.

2. No candidate shall be admitted to the first Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course unless  
    he/she has passed a qualifying examination as under.

a) Two years intermediate examination of Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh under 10+2 pattern with Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology or Biology as optional that shall include a practical test in each subject.                                                                                                                                                 (OR)

b) Any other examination of 10+2 pattern recognized by the NTR University in Andhra Pradesh or Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects, which shall include a practical test in each of these subjects.                                                                    (OR)
                                                      
c) The pre-professional / premedical examination with Physics,Chemistry and Biology, after passing either the higher secondary school examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent examination. The pre-professional / pre-medical examination shall include a practical test in Physics, Chemistry & Biology and also English as a compulsory subject.                                                                                                                          (OR)

d) The first year of the three years degree course of a recognized University, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical test in these subjects provided the examination is a University Examination and candidate has passed 10+2 with English at a level not less than a core course.                                         (OR)

e) B.Sc Examination of an Indian University, provided that he / she has passed the B.Sc examination with not less than two of the following subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) and further that he / she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with the following subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.                                                                                                                                                   (OR)

f) Any other examination whose scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate science examination of an Indian University / Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in each of these subjects and English.
 

Note:

I. The pre-medical course my be conducted either in a Medical College or Science College.

II. The marks obtained in Mathematics are not to be considered for admission to MBBS course.

III. Candidate possessing qualification of the University / Board of an institution outside the State / Country should produce a Certificate of  Equivalence from the Registrar, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, A.P., Vijayawada, India.

IV. A Candidate for admission to MBBS course must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. However, in respect of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes, Schedule Tribes and Other Backward Classes
the qualifying marks should be 40% instead of 50%.

DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED FOR THE SEATS UNDER MANAGEMENT QUOTA BY M.B.B.S ASPIRANTS

FOR LOCAL STUDENTS

  1. Memorandum of Marks of Intermediate / CBSE plus two
  2. S.S.C Marks Memo for Evidence of Date of Birth and College Transfer Certificate (TC)
  3. Certificate of Social Status (Caste) if the candidate belongs to SC/ST/BC
  4. Study & Conduct Certificates from VI Class to Intermediate
  5. Proof of Income (IT assessment copy/ Salary certificate)
  6. If appeared for Eamcet, Rank Card and Hall Ticket copies
  7. Migration Certificate from last studied institute for the candidates who have studied other than BOI, A.P.
  8. Passport size Photos (10Copies),
  9. Note: If the candidate studied other than Intermediate of BOI, AP, such candidate shall submit Equivalence certificate issued by Dr. NTR UHS.In Addition To the Above Original Certificates He /She has To Submit Four Sets of Photo Copies of All above Certificates.
  10. DD for Rs.39500/-drawn in favour of The Registrar, Dr NTR University of Health Sciences payable at Vijayawada.
  11. The State Government of Andhra Pradesh is contemplating and it is most likely that they may ask MBBS students to execute a bond for one year complusory service in the designated hospitals of the Government after completion of their study and Interbship.
  12. The students seeking admission to MBBS course may be required to face a qualifying examination if the medical council of india makes such examination mandatory for admission under Managment quota seats as well.

  1. Official Transcript original

  3. Birth Certificate
  4. Equivalence Certificate issued by the Dr. NTR UHS, Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh) or the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.NOTE: for this purpose it should be made sure that the aspiring student has studied Biology, Physics and Chemistry in XI and XII Grade combined or in either of the gtrades. The concerned authority at their discretion may also consider 'Advanced Placement' subjects in these branches or a community school certificate for any of these subjects. The subject ' English' should be mentioned only as 'English' and not as 'Lingustistics', 'Literature', American Literature or the like.

  7. Candidate has to complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the academic year in which the candidate is seeking admission.In Addition To the Above Original Certificates He /She Has To Submit Four Sets of Photo Copies of All above Certificates.
  8. DD for Rs.39500/-drawn in favour of The Registrar, Dr NTR University of Health Sciences payable at Vijayawada.
  9. Admissions in general can not be granted on visitors VISA or Temporary Visa. It is advised that NRI Students should obtain and posses an appropriate valid VISA / OCI status card or PIO Card duly validated from time to time to cover their entire study period at the institution.
